Artist in Residence Program
GAC artist in residence is open to visual artists, writers, filmmakers, dancers, or other creative professionals to produce work. Working periods differ from three to six months or sometimes even a year.

The program also gives artists the opportunity to work outside of their usual environments, providing them with time to reflect, research, or produce their work. Throughout the residence, artists will have the guidance from industry professionals, curatorial services and full access of GAC resources within the town of Greenwich and beyond.

Applications are evaluated by an advisory committee and take into consideration the following parameters: artistic quality; relevance of the project and motivation of the candidate.

Applications will be available online through our website from April 20 through June 1, 2020.
Current Artist in Residence: YEDI FRESH

About YEDI FRESH:
A self-taught artist. From day one, Yedi Fresh has been creating. Whether it is illustration, painting, digital art, or mural work, he has allowed his creative nature to explode across canvases, notebooks, and even some walls around y'alls. To him, it is a non-stop vision. From an oversized yeti to some cool colot therapy, there are always works in progress. Not a day goes by that Yedi can't be found without a pencil, brush or can in hand. Always working, always improving. It is this very persistence, the one that keeps him up long hours into the night, that springs his creative worlds into reality.

"R.O.Y.G.B.I.V. that's how I live." - YEDI FRESH

The Greenwich Arts Council is thrilled to welcome Yedi as our second artist in residency. You can find Yedi painting in the third floor studio any day of the week through the end of April.
